Dr. D'Alterio has been on staff at Susskind & Almallah Eye Associates since 1999. He uses his extensive experience to help his patients achieve good visual health.
His education and professional training include:
- Graduated from Rutgers University in 1993
- Graduated from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia
- Residency at The Eye Institute of the Pennsylvania College of Optometry
During his time at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry, he obtained clinical honors in his third-year internship. During his fourth year, he obtained clinical honors in every rotation he attended – which included primary care/emergency eye care, ocular disease, pediatrics, and hospital-based optometry. He rotated through the Greenville Eye Clinic and Optometric Eye Care Center in Greenville, NC. He also rotated through the Lyons VA Hospital in Lyons, NJ, and The Eye Institute of the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia.
During his residency, he worked in many specialties such as Cornea/External Disease, Glaucoma, Retina, Emergency Eye Care, Primary Care, and Oculoplastics. After completing his residency, he continued to work at the college, as a clinical instructor--directly supervising second, third, and fourth-year students. At that time, he joined Susskind & Almallah Eye Associates.
In his free time, Dr. D'Alterio likes to visit the beach, play and coach sports, and spend time with his wife and three children.
